Fine motor activities are those that encourage
the development of eye-hand coordination- using the fingers and eyes together to
manipulate objects.
Good eye-hand coordination is very important as preschool children learn self-help skills
and also become ready for many of the academic tasks they will meet in future, such as writing.
It takes years to become adept at coordination the eyes and hands,
with each task requiring practice, and some being more different to achieve than others.
Different types of fine motor materials are small building toys (Lego),
art materials (Play Dough, Scissors), manipulative (beads and strings,
nuts and bolts, snap, zip and buttons) and puzzles.

소근육 활동은 손가락과 눈을 함께 사용하여 물건을 조작할수 있는
능력을 길러주는데 도움을 주는 활동입니다.
눈과 손의 협응력은 프리스쿨 아이들에게는 자기 돌보기를 배우고 익히는데 중요한 활동이며,
나아가 학습(쓰기)을 할수 있는 기초가 됩니다.
이 활동은 오랫동안의 연습을 필요로 하며, 성취도에는 개인적인 차이가 있습니다.
소근육 활동으로는 작은 블럭(레고), 미술재료(찰흙 가위), 조작놀이(구슬꾀기,나사풀기,
단추끼우기, 지퍼사용등)와 퍼즐 놀이가 있습니다.
